Clinical and health psychologist, psychotherapist, university lecturer and researcher. I work at the interface between clinical practice, epidemiological research, public health, environmental health and planetary health.
My work bridges individual clinical intervention and population-level evidence generation, with extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative methods — including population-based surveys, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, psychometric studies, Delphi panels, focus groups and in-depth interviews.
Since 2016 I have been affiliated with the Lisbon School of Medicine, University of Lisbon, with the Institute of Environmental Health (ISAMB-FMUL) and with the Institute of Preventive Medicine and Public Health (IMPSP-FMUL). I coordinate the Environmental Health Behaviours Research Laboratory (EnviHeB Lab), dedicated to the determinants and impacts of behaviours with synergistic effects on human and planetary health.
My career also includes senior research at DECO PROTESTE / Euroconsumers, clinical practice in private and hospital contexts, editorial leadership, applied research entrepreneurship, and participation in scientific and governmental advisory structures.
